Finding cigar information and figuring out who carries it should be easier. We’re building the resource we wanted ourselves, with help from cigar enthusiasts, shops, clubs and brands.
The catalog
Cigar specifications — brand, series, vitola, size, wrapper, binder, filler, origin and strength — come from a reviewed catalog built from what manufacturers publish about their own cigars. Retailer listings are never the only basis for a fact. Where no source states a value, the page shows a dash rather than a guess.
Retailer prices
Prices on cigar pages are observed on the public websites of independent online retailers and matched to a catalog cigar only when the brand, series, vitola and stated size agree. Each price shows when it was last seen; an older price stays visible with its age and a note that it may have changed, rather than disappearing. Prices are the retailer’s own and exclude shipping and tax; the retailer’s site is the final word.
MyCigarHunt does not sell cigars. Links go to the retailer’s own product page. Retailers do not pay to appear, and the order of offers never depends on any business relationship. How prices are compared.
Demonstration records
A small set of fictional records used to develop and test the site is labelled SAMPLE / DEMO wherever it appears. Demonstration records are never mixed into the catalog, its prices or its search results.
Your collection & privacy
The full privacy notice lists everything MyCigarHunt stores.
You can keep tasting notes on this device without an account. These notes stay in your browser’s local storage until you remove them or clear browser data. Export a copy from your collection to keep a backup.
When signed in, new notes are stored in your private account. Device notes are not uploaded automatically. You can delete individual notes in your collection. Account data access is restricted to its owner.
When you follow a link to a retailer, MyCigarHunt records which cigar, retailer and offer the link was for, and when. Nothing that identifies you — no IP address, browser details, cookie or account — is recorded with it.
Product imagery
Some product photographs shown here were published by the manufacturer on its own website. Each one is labelled with its source and links to the page where it appeared. MyCigarHunt serves its own copy and does not alter the product, band or packaging shown. Showing an image does not mean the manufacturer endorses MyCigarHunt or has licensed the image.
A rights holder who wants an image corrected, re-credited or removed can ask for that. MyCigarHunt can withdraw any such image immediately, without a site release, and keeps its record of where the image came from.
Data transparency
If the catalog or current prices cannot be read, the site says so. It never substitutes sample data for real data.
